Multi-instrumentalist and world-renowned composer David Amram takes the Jazz Depot stage with a tribute concert honoring his fellow Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame inductee: the late, great Oscar Pettiford.

Jazz Hall inductee David Amram has composed more than one hundred orchestral and chamber music works, while penning many scores for both Broadway and film. He is widely known for his classic scores for the films, “Splendor in the Grass” and “Manchurian Candidate,” as well as the score for the landmark 1959 documentary, “Pull My Daisy” and two operas. Amram is also the author of three books. An inventively funny improvisational lyricist, Amram is a pioneer player of jazz French horn, a virtuoso on piano, numerous flutes and whistles, percussion, and dozens of folkloric instruments from twenty-five countries. While traveling the world as a conductor, soloist, bandleader, visiting scholar, and narrator in five languages, Amram continues to compose....
